A detailed lesson that starts by looking at Jesus Baptism by John the Baptist. The lesson then looks at the two types of baptism complete with a collaborative learning activity. There’s a suggested video clip and instructions. I have also included an opportunity for debate as regards the age someone should be baptised. A PowerPoint that looks briefly at the cause of poverty and religious attitudes to it. I use a THINKRE2 textbook for students to explore Christian and Hindu beliefs about poverty (to supplement the lesson you could simply find a brief bit on Hindu and Christian attitudes). Activities are supplemented by images/ questions and discussion opportunities. I have also attached an assessment criteria, PowerPoint and writing frame for an essay in response to the question: Poverty has always been with us. Poverty will always be with us.
